Glaros opened in 1998 in the old net store of the Theodorou family's fishing business. The boats still tie up across the quay, and most mornings what they bring in decides what's on the grill that night.

Theodoros learned to fish with his father and to cook with his mother. He still chooses every fish himself before 8 a.m. and runs the charcoal grill every evening of the season.

Caught this morning

Fish is bought from the harbour boats each day and sold by weight.

Charcoal grill

Everything grilled over charcoal, dressed simply with olive oil and lemon.

Island produce

Thassos olive oil, honey and wine from the island's own producers.
