Children
Child safety and protection
Families book boat trips and watersports through Nautiplex Network. This page covers keeping children safe on the water, how to report a concern about a child, and how we handle children's personal data.
Emergency numbers in Greece
On board and in the water
Nautiplex Network lists independent operators; the skipper and crew are responsible for safety on each trip. Before you book and on the day:
- Ask the operator for a child-size life jacket that fits your child's weight, and have your child wear it on deck and in the water — even strong swimmers.
- Check minimum ages. Operators set them per activity (towed rides, jet skis, diving and so on); watersport listings show their requirements. If unsure, ask before booking.
- A responsible adult supervises each child at all times. The crew run the boat; they are not childminders.
- When you send a request, tell the operator your children's ages, whether they can swim, and any medical needs.
- Bring sun protection and water, and ask whether the boat has shade and a toilet.
- The skipper's call on weather and sea conditions is final — even if it means cancelling.
Safeguarding: reporting a concern about a child
We have zero tolerance for any harm to children. Operators are independent businesses, responsible for their staff and for following Greek law; Nautiplex does not carry out background checks on operators' staff.
- If a child is in immediate danger, call 112 — or 108 at sea — first.
- If you're worried about a child's welfare, the 1056 SOS line of Το Χαμόγελο του Παιδιού answers 24/7, free of charge.
- Then tell us: use “Report a problem” and choose “Safety concern”, or email info@nautiplex.com. You can report anonymously.
- We treat child-safety reports as urgent: we review the listing straight away, can take it offline while we look into it, and pass information to the competent authorities where required.
- Listings must not show identifiable children without their parents' consent. If you see one — including your own child — report it and we'll remove it.
Children's privacy
Nautiplex Network is a general-audience site, not a service directed at children.
- Our forms (booking and reservation requests, contact, reports) are meant for adults. Anyone under 15 — the age of digital consent in Greece (Law 4624/2019, Art. 21) — should ask a parent or guardian to send the request.
- We don't knowingly collect personal data from children under 15. If we learn we have, we delete it — email info@nautiplex.com.
- Details about children that a parent includes in a request (ages, swimming ability, needs) are used only to pass the request to the operator, and are deleted with the request after 24 months, or sooner on request.
- No advertising profiles. Optional analytics and ad-measurement cookies run only if a visitor accepts them in the cookie banner, and nothing on the site is aimed at children.
